Friends of BPS
As you are aware, tuition does not cover 100% of the operating expenses at Baptist Park School. The balance of the operating expenses and capital improvement programs are obtained through other channels. In addition to contributions made by the Gilead Baptist Church of Taylor, you can become a Friend of BPS by supporting in one or more of the following ways:

ENROLL IN THE KROGER COMMUNITY REWARDS PROGRAM
Beginning May 1, 2009, Kroger will launch the Kroger Community Rewards Program, which will replace the Kroger Cares Program.
Our school will earn funds just by using your Kroger Plus Card at checkout. We have enrolled our school in this program. Our organization number is 82972.
Families are now able to designate Baptist Park School when registering their Kroger Plus Card online. If you do not currently have a Kroger Plus Card, they are available at the customer service desk at all Kroger stores.
After May 1, 2009, whenever a registered member of our group makes a purchase at Kroger and uses his/her Plus Card, that purchase will contribute to our school’s rewards. The amount of our quarterly reward check will be based on the percentage of spending our group has done in comparison with the other registered organizations during that time period. So, the more we spend at Kroger’s, the higher our percentage will be.
TO REGISTER FOR THE REWARDS PROGRAM:
Step 1: Type www.krogercommunityrewards.com into browser
Step 2: Select your state
Step 3: Scroll down and Click on “Enroll”
Step 4: Click on “Sign up Today!” under New Customer section on right
Step 5: Enter in your zip code and then click “Find”
Step 6: Select your store
Step 7: Enter in your email & password
Step 8: Click on “Confirm”
Step 9: Check box for agreement and Click on “Confirm”
Step 10: Go to your email
Step 11: Click link in email
Step 12: Sign in: click on blue “Click here” button and then type in your email and password
Step 13: Under Kroger Community Rewards Section at right; Click “ Edit Kroger Community Rewards Information”
Step 14: Put in Kroger Plus Card Number
Step 15: Click on “Save Changes”
Step 16: Input address information and click “Save Changes”
Step 17: Find our school; Type in Baptist Park School or 82972.
Step 18: Click on “Save Changes”
Step 19: You are now registered!!!!
REMEMBER, purchases will not count for our school until you register your card.
Do you use your phone number at the register instead of swiping a card? Call 1-877-576-7587 to get your Kroger Plus card number.
Members must swipe their registered Kroger Plus card or use the phone number that is related to their registered Kroger Plus card when shopping for each purchase to count.
If you are interested in the alternate SCANBAR method of member registration, please call 1-800-837-4483 and a SCANBAR letter will be mailed to you. Or, you may pick up a copy at the main school office at Baptist Park. If you don’t have access to a computer, this allows you to be part of the Community Rewards Program. So the next time you go to Kroger, take the letter and your Kroger Plus card, or use the phone number linked to your Plus card, and they will scan them together to link your card to the school. Within 72 hours, the link will then be active for the year (5/1/09 to 4/30/10). Just continue to use your Kroger Plus card each time you shop at Kroger. If you need to update your Kroger Plus card information, call 1-877-576-7587 to do so. You only need to use the SCANBAR letter once each year to link to our school.
As always, we encourage our church and school families to participate in Baptist Park School’s scrip program. When you purchase scrip (gift cards and certificates), you are purchasing negotiable gift certificates that are to be used like cash. The gift cards and certificates are issued by national and local retailers where many of our families already shop. These merchants want to support non-profit organizations, and in return ask you to support them by shopping with scrip at their stores. Our members can use the scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, they earn revenue for our school.
Visit the Great Lakes Scrip website to view the listing of gift cards and certificates that are available for purchase at www.glscrip.com. Under “Retailer List” click “By Category”. After making your selection, please contact the school’s office at 734-287-2720 and place your order, or you may place your order in person at the school. We also have many gift cards available for immediate purchase in the school office. But if you need something ordered, please place your order before 8:00 a.m. on Monday morning. Your order will be available for pick up on Wednesday by 2:00 p.m.
Remember, your support of the scrip program and Kroger's Community Rewards Program, not only helps Baptist Park School, but helps you with tuition also! The more you buy, the more you earn!
